Color Trends For Spring/Summer 2025 — And the Bags to Match
There’s something about spring and summer that makes color feel extra exciting. After months of neutrals and layering, the fashion world is bursting with fresh shades — from dreamy pastels to bold brights — it's time to have some fun with color!
At Stephanie Taylor Handbags, color is a big part of my design process. I hand-select leather from Italy and Spain not only for its exceptional softness and quality, but also for its rich, dimensional tones. So naturally, I have a few thoughts on this season’s color trends — and my own take on how they translate into timeless, versatile bags. Because let’s be honest: the right bag has a way of pulling everything together.
Let’s dive in:
1. Lavender
This calm-yet-cool purple is basically the new neutral — and surprisingly easy to wear. You’ll spot it in flowy dresses, silk tops, and even tailored suiting.
My take on it: I love this color trend! This season, the Frankie handbag comes in a stunning Vivid Lavender— a statement shade that pairs effortlessly with blues, creams, neutrals, and even florals. It’s the kind of accessory that brings a bold twist to a timeless look — think jeans, a crisp white shirt, and your favorite jewelry.
2. Orange
Bold, warm, and sunset-inspired, this fiery shade brings the energy. Designers are using it for everything from structured tops to sporty separates.
My take on it: Let the color take center stage by pairing it with one of my camel leather totes — the earthy tone adds balance while keeping the whole look effortlessly chic. I personally love orange — it’s such a classy, timeless color when it comes to accessories. You’ll see it featured in several of my styles this season, including the CJ Crossbody, Maria Clutch, Brandie Everyday Tote, and Mini Jayce Crossbody. Clearly… I can’t get enough of it!
3. Pistachio Green
You have seen this color for a few seasons now — and it’s officially a wardrobe staple. Soft, grounded, and incredibly versatile, pistachio green is everywhere in 2025.
My take on it: Take my signature soft leather slouchy bag — the Frankie in Sea Green. It’s a bit brighter than Pistachio but still right on trend. Minimal, timeless, and designed to let that beautiful green stand out. It’s the perfect way to have a little fun with color, especially if it’s not something you’d usually wear in your outfit!
4. Cherry Tomato Red
This bold red is playful but polished — and yes, it’s having a major moment. Whether it’s a power suit or a breezy sundress, cherry tomato adds an instant mood boost.
My take on it: I decided to introduce the Mini Frankie in a bright, bold red with a stunning gold chain. This handbag is the perfect little showstopper for any event, or you can pair it with your favorite jeans for a fun pop of color! You really can’t go wrong with this accessory — it’s sure to make a statement wherever you go.
5. Buttercream & Warm Whites
Say hello to neutrals. These creamy whites and soft yellows feel luxe, lived-in, and ready for summer.
My take on it: The CJ in Cream is my personal nod to this trend—there’s nothing quite like a soft, neutral handbag to complete a classic, timeless look!
6. Sky Blue
It’s light, refreshing, and gives major vacation energy. Sky blue is the kind of color you’ll want to live in — from cotton dresses to oversized shirts.
My take on it: My Cameron Tote in beautiful sky blue adds just the right touch of sophistication while keeping the vibe effortlessly relaxed. I personally love playing with color in a tote bag! Sky Blue is one of those shades that pairs perfectly with everything and instantly elevates your outfit. Whether you’re headed to the office or boarding a plane, the Cameron Tote in Sky Blue is sure to elevate your style.
Bringing It Together:
Spring/Summer 2025 is all about ease and expression. The colors are fun and wearable — just like my handbags. Whether you lean minimalist or love to play with color, there’s something in this season’s palette that will give you a "pop of fun."
I design with timeless style in mind — pieces that work with trends, but aren’t defined by them. So as you're stepping into this colorful season, think of your bag as the finishing touch — that little something that ties it all together, effortlessly.
